Cuca chegou ao Verdão em março e está a um ponto de conquistar o título brasileiro – seu contrato termina em dezembro. O treinador já disse que voltaria para a China, depois recuou e publicamente fala em esperar o campeonato acabar para definir o futuro. Pessoas próximas, porém, acreditam que o 2017 do treinador será fora do Verdão.

-O Cuca já teve momentos de conflito, uma bronca mais forte em alguns jogadores, como foi com Barrios, Dudu, que vocês sabem. E em todo treino ele conversa, pergunta. É um cara que sabe gerir de diversas formas. Foi se adaptando aos jogadores, e ele foi muito sábio de conduzir este elenco tão grandioso tendo de às vezes tirar jogadores muito gabaritados do banco, e soube conduzir isto e tem todo mérito na campanha – acrescentou.

A torcida também começou a fazer campanha pela permanência do treinador. No sábado, membros da Mancha Alviverde estarão na porta da Academia de Futebol para dar apoio aos jogadores e pedir “Fica, Cuca”.

وأضاف: “لا توجد عروض رسمية من أندية مصرية لكارتيرون، خلال ساعات أو الأيام المقبلة سيكون قد حسم مستقبله، ولا يوجد عرض رسمي من الاتفاق السعودي حتى الآن”.

وكشف: “النادي الأهلي  لم يدخل في مفاوضات مع كارتيرون خلال فترته مع الزمالك”.

وواصل: “هناك بعض الأمور التي جعلت كارتيرون يشعر بعدم الراحة في الفترة الأخيرة وحسين لبيب كان يتعامل بشكل رائع معه”.

وأردف: “لجان الزمالك السابقة برئاسة حسين لبيب وعماد عبد العزيز تواصلوا مع كارتيرون بعد رحيله، وحرصوا على توجيه الشكر له بعد الرحيل رغم عدم وجودهم في الفترة الحالية”.

واستكمل: “كارتيرون طلب التعاقد مع عبدالله السعيد ورمضان صبحي قبل عقوبة إيقاف القيد، والزمالك كان قادرًا على ضم أي لاعب خلال الفترة الماضية”.

واستأنف: “كارتيرون يحلم بالعودة لتدريب نادي الزمالك مرة أخرى، ومن الوارد توليه مهمة أي ناد آخر في مصر فهو مدرب محترف ويمتلك العديد من العروض دائمًا”.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, former Aston Villa midfielder and current Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie believes Bertrand Traore has been a better signing than Timo Werner.

Much was expected of Werner after he joined Chelsea for big money last summer, but the German striker has struggled at times this season, yet to reach the 10-goal mark in the Premier League.

In fact, following his incredible strike last weekend against Manchester United, £78,000-a-week star Traore had equalled Werner’s league tally of six, prompting Hendrie to suggest that the former has been the better summer addition out of the two.

In an exclusive interview with TT, the ex-Villa player said:

“I’ve got to say, if you compare the two, I mean, I’d certainly say Traore’s certainly been a better signing. I still think Werner will turn a corner and start scoring goals eventually. I just think it’s been a bit of a hit and miss season for him.

“The goal he [Traore] scored over the weekend, I thought it was top drawer. He’s scored some really good goals, he’s been dynamic in his forward play and out of the forward play, I think you take [Jack] Grealish out of that front three, and he’s the one that certainly stood up and be one to be counted for.”

As for Werner, while the Germany international probably would have hoped for a better individual season, collectively, this campaign could still end brilliantly for him.

His Chelsea side are on course for a top-four finish and have the chance to win both the FA Cup and Champions League.

A solidariedade com as vítimas do acidente da Chapecoense mobilizou os clubes brasileiros. No próximo domingo, na última rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro, todas as equipes da elite prestarão uma homenagem conjunta e estamparão um trecho do hino do Verdão do Oeste em suas camisas.

O trecho escolhido é: “Ó glorioso verde que se expande. Entre os estados, tu és sempre um esplendor. Nas alegrias e nas horas mais difíceis. Meu furacão, tu és sempre um vencedor”. Os clubes da primeira divisão – inclusive o Atlético-MG, que não disputará a o jogo que seria contra a própria Chapecoense –
usará um trecho da estrofe. A divisão será feita por ordem alfabética, e o Vitória, último da lista, entrará em campo com a hashtag #ForçaChape. Todas as partidas da 38ª rodada serão realizadas no domingo, às 17h (de Brasília).

A ação foi divulgada nesta terça, pelo site do Cruzeiro, e partiu de um grupo do WhatsApp que, desde 2015, reúne os gestores de marketing dos principais clubes brasileiros. A ideia era fazer algo em conjunto para demonstrar união.

– Foi uma ação elaborada em conjunto com todos os clubes da série A e com o apoio dos demais que não entrarão mais em campo esse ano. Uma singela forma de homenagear a Chapecoense e toda a comunidade de Chapecó. Nossa união fora de campo foi fundamental para essa iniciativa – explicou Bernardo Pontes, representante do grupo que desenvolveu a ideia.

Além disso, os times da elite farão um box especial com uma camisa de cada clube, formando todo o trecho. O box será leiloando, e o valor, revertido para a reconstrução do clube catarinense.

Many Southampton fans were livid with the “dreadful” performance of Nathan Redmond despite their win over Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday.

The game had little riding on it, with Fulham already relegated back to the Championship and Southampton mathematically safe, but the south coast outfit still put in a generally good display.

Che Adams and Nathan Tella scored to put the Saints 2-0 up, and Theo Walcott restored his side’s two-goal advantage after Fabio Carvalho had halved the deficit.

Redmond was far from at his best on the flank, though. He lost possession on more than 20 occasions and missed two big chances to increase the margin of victory. It is not the first time he has come in for criticism from some Saints supporters, and he must do more if he wants to stay in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s plans going into the 2021/22 campaign.

These Southampton fans were far from happy with what they saw from him, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.

According to La Republicca (via Sport Witness), Southampton are interested in signing Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.

The Lowdown: Saints have goalkeeper dilemma

Ralph Hasenhuttl has flitted between goalkeepers so far this term, with Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster both earning considerable time between the sticks.

There have even been suggestions the boss is not sure who his number one goalkeeper is (Hampshire Live).

The Latest: Southampton eye Strakosha

Now, it has been reported Southampton are interested in signing 26-year-old Strakosha.

He has previously been linked with a €50m (£43m) move to Liverpool, but this latest rumour says Lazio would be willing to let the Albania international depart for a far lower fee.

The Verdict: Top quality

This term has not been the best for Strakosha – he has made just eight appearances in Serie A (FBRef) – which may be a reason for his reduced transfer price. However, in the previous four campaigns, he averaged a save percentage ratio of over 73% – very solid for any goalkeeper in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

By goalkeeper’s standards, he is young, and has plenty of time ahead of him to improve. While Hasenhuttl previously said the Saints can only spend up to £10m per player this summer (Sky Sports), the south-coast outfit may be willing to be flexible on Strakosha, who is currently valued at £16.2m (Transfermarkt).

– Não concordo muito com essa ideia de estabelecer um teto salarial. Eventualmente, alguns jogadores vão ganhar mais do que outros. Precisamos respeitar o orçamento e gerenciar a montagem do elenco – disse, em entrevista à TV O Povo.

O gerente ainda estabeleceu os três critérios para um atleta reforçar o clube:

– São três critérios: financeiro, técnico e profissional. O jogador precisa se adequar a realidade financeira do clube, precisa ser aprovado pela avaliação técnica do Gilmar (Dal Pozzo), que vem acompanhando todos os nomes de perto e também passa por um estudo pessoal, que analisa a postura e todo o histórico do atleta.

Já chegaram ao Vozão o lateral-esquerdo Romário, o lateral-direito Éverton Silva, o meia Ricardinho e os zagueiros Rafael Pereira e Luiz Otávio. Porém, o clube manifestou interesse em contar novamente com o veterano Magno Alves, que saiu recentemente do Fluminense.

West Ham have reportedly enquired about the availability of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ahead of the summer…

What’s the word?

That’s according to Football Insider, who claim the Irons are in the transfer market for attacking midfield reinforcements and the Liverpool star is amongst the targets after slipping down the pecking order at Anfield.

A source has told the website that the East London outfit have made contact over potentially signing the 27-year-old before the start of next season.

It is thought that the 2019/20 champions will listen to offers for Oxlade-Chamberlain and with three years still to run on his current £120k-per-week deal, they value him around £22m.

A move for the 35-time England international could be a case of serious deja vu at the London Stadium and David Moyes must approach with caution.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is undoubtedly a top-quality player as he’s made over 200 appearances in the top-flight, and has a Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup in his trophy cabinet.

His former manager Arsene Wenger even once likened him to Wayne Rooney and Cesc Fabregas. He told the Guardian in 2012:

“I feel that is always a brand of top players. They just play. When you saw [Wayne] Rooney start he played like it was natural, the same with [Cesc] Fabregas. They are happy on the football pitch and comfortable.”

Whilst upon signing for the Reds, data analyst and Anfield Index Pro podcaster Dan Kennett described the versatile dynamo as a “physical monster” with “pace, power and endurance.”

However, his career in recent seasons has been seriously hampered by injury. For instance, this year alone, he has played only 244 minutes in the Premier League, adding to his total of just 1,490 minutes in their title-winning campaign, via Transfermarkt.

Since arriving in Merseyside in 2017, Oxlade-Chamberlain has missed more games than he has played and it was an injury that ruled him out of the 2018 World Cup, too.

When he has been on the pitch this season, The Athletic’s James Pearce has described the 27-year-old as a “passenger,” highlighting his form as real concern.

A £22m investment and wages that would see him top their payroll is certainly a big gamble to make when you factor in his dire injury record.

It bears plenty of similarities to Manuel Pellegrini’s mistake of bringing Jack Wilshere to the club, albeit on a free transfer.

On his day, when fit, the former Gunners star was amongst the very best on the ball in the Premier League but the Irons saw him on the pitch just 19 times across two seasons.

You’d have to worry that the same could happen here with Oxlade-Chamberlain, even more so considering the finances involved this time.

Moyes should probably steer clear of the £18m-rated midfielder as he’s dealt with more than enough injury problems this season, he shouldn’t want to add to those woes with a campaign in Europe on the horizon.
