Many West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to reports that PAI Capital have submitted a second bid for the takeover of the club.

In a report from The Sunday Times [via Hammers News], PAI Capital have been plotting a takeover of the club have made a second bid, according to a spokesman for the company.

David Sullivan, co-owner of West Ham, previously spoke about the first offer, claiming that ‘they never produced any proof of funds’ and that the bidders had ‘zero interest in the football side and saw it as a property move’.

Following Sullivan’s comments, PAI Capital partner Philip Beard hit back and called Sullivan’s accusations ‘unhelpful and inaccurate statements’.

Within the report from The Sunday Times [via Hammers News], it states that PAI Capital has assembled a team of executives to help edge closer to the deal, believing that their second bid will be successful.

Whilst many West Ham fans are unhappy with the current running of the club from GSB, the PAI Capital group potentially angered many supporters by bringing Rio Ferdinand in on the act alongside his brother Anton Ferdinand.

مالك الفريق الإنجليزي وصل إلى صالة الطيران الخاصة في مطار إلبرات في منتصف فترة ما بعد الظهر وتوجه مباشرة إلى مطعم فيا فينيتو.

تناول بولي العشاء مع خوان لابورتا، رئيس نادي برشلونة، وماتيو أليماني، المدير الرياضي وجوردي كرويف، يده اليمنى في إدارة كرة القدم.

وصل الثلاثة إلى المؤسسة بعد نصف ساعة من وصول بولي، بحسب ما أفادت صحيفة “موندو ديبورتيفو” الإسبانية.

استمر الاجتماع بالكاد ساعة وربع حيث غادر بولي المطعم في الساعة العاشرة صباحًا دون التعليق على المفاوضات بينما كانت قيادة برشلونة لا تزال في الداخل.

It seemed as though the South American players in English football would be unable to play any part in this weekend’s action after a dispute occurred regarding coronavirus regulations.

A BBC Sport report stated: “England-based players have been cleared to play for their clubs this weekend after complaints about their failure to report for international duty were dropped.

“Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Paraguay had invoked a Fifa rule which would have meant players not released for the recent South American World Cup qualifiers were suspended from playing for five days.

“But the countries have withdrawn their complaints, which would have stopped 12 players appearing this weekend. All countries involved waived the bans after talks with football’s world governing body Fifa.”

Jurgen Klopp will be delighted

News that Fabinho and Alisson will be allowed to travel with the squad to Elland Road this afternoon will leave Klopp feeling delighted, given their importance to the Reds.

Liverpool’s Brazilian shot-stopper has kept two clean sheets in his opening three Premier League games of the season, while his compatriot played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea last time out and has been a regular in Klopp’s first XI during his time at Anfield.

The out-of-form Matthew Hayden retains the faith of his captain but the opener’s immediate future will be known when Australia’s limited-overs teams are named on Thursday for the South Africa fixtures. Ricky Ponting said he would love it if Hayden, who has struggled for runs since returning from a heel injury in India, kept playing.”I’d have him in my team every day of the week,” Ponting said. “He’s a champion player and bloke and great for our team at the moment. Those experienced guys are great to have around the team while you’re rebuilding.”The squad for Sunday’s first Twenty20 in Melbourne will be named alongside the outfit for the following five one-day internationals. If Hayden is missing from the team a Test return is unlikely, although the selectors have also publicly supported him.
